Businessman and owner of the ‘Independencia’ pharmacies murdered in Tuxpan, Veracruz

Pharmaceutical entrepreneur and owner of the “Independencia” pharmacies, Nabor Casco Machorro, was murdered Monday afternoon at his home in Tuxpan, northern Veracruz.

Armed men arrived at his home while he was washing his vehicle and opened fire, killing him.

His body was found lying next to the vehicle in the home located on 1st Street in the Jesús Reyes Heroles subdivision.

This is the fourth businessman murdered in Tuxpan in the space of a month, with no results or motive yet known.

On March 21, businessman Víctor Poisot Bermejo was shot to death inside the offices of his real estate company, Ikali.

On March 24, another businessman, Josué Cruz, better known as El Chucky, was executed. He was shot while standing outside his restaurant of the same name, located on Rivera del Pescador Street in the La Mata neighborhood of Tampamachoco.

On April 11, agrarian leader and businessman Rubén Cruz Sagastume was killed.

This time, it was a businessman who owned pharmacies who was killed.

The crime mobilized security forces; however, no arrests have been reported.

The body was taken to the Forensic Medical Service.
