The Port of Manzanillo, Mexico, recorded a 14% increase compared to the number of trucks received in March. In total, the port recorded the access of 103,804 vehicles.
The Port of Manzanillo’s Asipona (Asipona) stated that “the increase in heavy vehicle traffic is a result of the efficiency of port operation processes, which are constantly being improved through the Safe Smart Port platform, which continues to add procedures and tools every day to facilitate port operations.”
“In addition to this, the improvement of road infrastructure with projects such as the Second Access allows for greater fluidity and efficiency in cargo handling, thus contributing to the progress in freight movement statistics,” it added.
According to the port authority, this is the best result for a month of March compared to 2022, which saw a flow of 88,632 trucks, while in 2023, 83,941 entered, and in 2024, 90,757.
