The Colima State Attorney General’s Office reported the discovery of six clandestine graves containing human remains in the municipality of Colima, the capital of the state of the same name.
Additionally, during the work carried out during the week of April 14-20 in the area, other evidence was found that could be related to the disappearance of individuals.
The operation was carried out by various state and federal security agencies, who conducted up to two explorations of the terrain until the discovery of the six graves.
In the state of Colima, up to 290 graves have been found since 2006, with a total of 233 bodies, of which only 36 have been identified, according to the Citizen Platform for Clandestine Graves, thanks to information from the state Attorney General’s Office.
The Attorney General’s Office asks the public to file any relevant reports on the telephone lines provided for this purpose.
