For Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, intolerant attitudes like the one seen on social media when a citizen removed another from the sidewalk in front of his house are unacceptable.

This was the reaction of the state executive, who was questioned this Thursday about the incident that occurred in Mazatlán and went viral when a user questioned the removal of a construction worker who was eating on the sidewalk in front of a house, whose resident was upset by the action.
The governor of Sinaloa considered it an intolerant attitude, but also highlighted the response of the citizens who held a protest on Cruz Lizárraga Street on Wednesday afternoon to express their outrage over the incident.
“That is an intolerant, discriminatory attitude. That’s unacceptable, that behavior is not right, and if it’s a Mazatlan resident, whoever it is. Fortunately, there’s a response now, the citizens are responding, and that’s good.”
Rocha Moya acknowledged that tempers flared and things didn’t escalate during the citizen protest, but he also noted that a security operation is being implemented in Mazatlán for Motorcycle Week.
“Yes, we have the operation there; we haven’t removed the one we had for Holy Week.”
Furthermore, the state governor ruled out participating in the motorcycle parade on Saturday afternoon, adding that many participants come from far away on their bikes to attend this traditional biker gathering.
