Oaxaca Aerospace innovated the aerospace market by officially unveiling the Pegasus PE-210 A, the first aircraft designed and manufactured in Mexico at a plant located in the state of Oaxaca.
The announcement was made yesterday, Wednesday, April 23, during the Mexico Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) at Santa Lucía Military Air Base No. 1, next to Felipe Ángeles International Airport.
There, the Pegasus PE-210 A was presented as the first of two prototypes developed by the company, designed for training, surveillance, rescue, and recreational aviation missions.
This is the Pegasus PE-210 A: the first Mexican aircraft

This innovative two-seater aircraft with a tandem cockpit (with room for two people in the cockpit) reaches a speed of 500 km/h (210 knots) and offers a flight range of up to five hours.
It is equipped with a 400 HP engine, an ejection cockpit, and a backup turbine, features that put it on par with international models, but at a significantly lower cost.
At the event, Oaxaca Aerospace highlighted that the approximate price will be $3 million, just 30% of the cost of a similar Texan aircraft. Furthermore, the company plans to produce up to 52 units per year, starting with five or six, depending on demand.
The Pegasus PE-210 A was developed with support from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), the Aeronautical University of Querétaro (UNAQ), the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and the National Aeronautical Institute of Mexico (NIAR) in the United States.
According to its creators, this aircraft represents a new era for the Mexican aerospace industry, driven by just 25 workers and more than a decade of work and investment.
