During the first quarter of 2025, the Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta airports registered a combined passenger throughput of 6.7 million, representing a 6 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico.
Guadalajara International Airport remained the busiest in the state, serving 4.5 million passengers, equivalent to 68 percent of the state’s total. Of these travelers, 67 percent traveled on domestic flights and 33 percent on international flights. The airport reported 33,406 operations between January and March.
Meanwhile, Puerto Vallarta International Airport handled 2.1 million passengers, representing 32 percent of the state’s total. In this case, the majority of passengers—69 percent—arrived on international flights, while the remaining 31 percent arrived on domestic flights. During the period, this airport registered 17,866 operations.
March was the busiest month, with the largest volume of travelers. In that month alone, both airports handled 2.3 million people, representing a 7.2 percent increase compared to March 2024.
In that same month, Guadalajara Airport reported a flow of 1.6 million passengers, a 10 percent increase, while Puerto Vallarta handled 763,000 passengers.
