Cruise tourism has a broadly defined preference for high-value destinations, with the port of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, being the new gem to enjoy in the Pacific for this sector. This Easter week alone has welcomed more than 15,000 international visitors as part of the tour of renowned vessels such as the Carnival Panorama, Navigator of the Seas, Discover Princess, and Zaandam.

According to official figures from the State Tourism Secretariat, an economic impact of 265 million pesos has been recorded, derived solely from the more than 170,000 cruise passengers who have experienced Mazatlán’s incredible tourist attractions across 45 cruises this year.

During the month of April, nine cruise ships have landed in Sinaloa, representing approximately 33,000 passengers and 11,000 crew members. Meanwhile, three more cruise ships confirmed their arrival for next week, confirming the confidence of shipping companies in this beach destination, which boasts attractions such as a wide boardwalk, a dynamic golden zone, a lighthouse, viewpoints, a beautiful historic center, and spectacular sunsets.

It is worth noting that during Holy Week, Mazatlán welcomed a total of 607,000 visitors, with an economic impact of 1.8 billion pesos. Local, national, and international vacationers continue to arrive in the Pearl of the Pacific to enjoy this second week of the holiday season, positioning the port of Mazatlán as one of the preferred destinations nationwide.
