The esteemed Rixos Hotels brand, part of Accor’s Ennismore collection, is entering the Mexican market with the launch of properties in Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Cozumel. The projects are slated for renovation to align with the renowned standards of Rixos Hotels, which has dominated the luxury hospitality market for over a decade and continues to redefine the all-inclusive experience.
Ennismore’s ambitious expansion strategy in the Americas includes the addition of six new resorts across Mexico. To support these plans, the company recently established an office in Cancun. Future developments are expected to include properties in Cancun, Acapulco, and Ixtapa, which will operate under their existing brand framework.
The “All Inclusive” collection, launched in 2023, has been a standout in Ennismore’s portfolio, meeting the stringent standards of leading lifestyle and leisure brands, including Rixos, SLS, SO/, and Hyde. With a growing portfolio that now boasts over 70 resorts, Rixos Hotels is awaiting antitrust approval for its agreement with Accor.
Accor’s Commitment to Expanding the All-Inclusive Segment
Accor, in collaboration with Fettah Tamince, founder of Rixos Hotels, has been driving the growth of the all-inclusive sector since forming a joint venture in 2016. Building on Rixos’ success, Accor is broadening its offerings by integrating its luxury and premium brands—such as Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Swissôtel, and Mövenpick—into the collection. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing visibility and establishing a stronghold in key target markets.
The debut of Rixos Hotels in Mexico marks a significant milestone in the evolution of luxury hospitality, showcasing the brand’s commitment to excellence and its vision for global expansion.
