The state delegate of the National Water Commission, Roberto Arias, pointed out that the hot spots for combating water theft are the lakes of Pátzcuaro, Cuitzeo, and Chapala.
The federal official said that springs like Mintzita will also be included, where they will hold a meeting with the city government to regulate the licensed water trucks.
“We want to generate a climate of respect for the concessions, the use of the resource, and its protection,” stated Roberto Arias.
The delegate of the National Water Commission noted that a strategy is already in place to prevent the plundering of water from the state’s main aquifers.
