Rancho El Soyate de Zacatecas: National Sub-Leader in Charro Excellence!

Rancho El Soyate, from the state of Zacatecas, placed second in the Charro Circuit of Excellence, the first stage of which is currently underway at the “El Calvario” arena, located in the town of Huichapan, Hidalgo state, where the most prominent nationally recognized teams participate.

On the first day of activities, the Rancho El Soyate association, owned by the Aguilar Family, emerged as the winner of the second competition, held in the afternoon. Their outstanding performance in covering each of the scheduled tasks earned them 385 points clean of dust and straw.

The assembly was presided over by President Salvador Barajas del Toro.
The Zacatecans opened their competitive work with a good horse cala, which the judges gave them a score of 43. They continued with two piales in the arena that added 42 points, and they knocked down the leather, or in the tails they reached 89 points.

There was no luck in the bull riding. In the terna in the ring, the head rope was scored 29, which they rounded off with another 33 points through the pial in the ring.

The “greñuda” rodeo was 18 points, and after the manganas on foot, they totaled 71 points. Then, in the manganas on horseback, they added 44, concluding their performance with a paso de la muerte (step of death) of 24.

With a score of 385, the Rancho El Soyate team currently holds second place in the overall standings, surpassed only by the team representing Tlalixtac, from the state of Oaxaca, which appears to be in the lead after achieving 394 points in its performance. All of this in the first phase of this Charro Excellence Circuit.
