A violent robbery on the Arco Norte Highway resulted in the amputation of a trucking driver’s finger. He was attacked near the Tula toll booth, on the stretch corresponding to the state of Hidalgo.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the driver was intercepted by a group of armed individuals who blocked his way and forced him to stop.

During the attack, the driver suffered a gunshot wound to the hand, resulting in the partial amputation of one of his fingers.

Motorists passing through the area assisted the victim and requested emergency services so the man could receive medical attention.

This incident adds to the growing wave of robberies reported on this highway, which, according to truckers, has become increasingly unsafe, despite being a key route for the transport of goods.

Those affected stated that they have repeatedly requested support from the authorities; however, although working groups have been held, including with industry leaders, there has been no clear response, and insecurity continues to increase.
