Querétaro ranked third in the nation for the most expensive homes, reaching an average price of 2,204,678 pesos in 2024. According to real estate sector figures, the state saw a 9.2 percent increase in home values compared to the previous year.
Nationwide, the average home price stood at 1.7 million pesos, reflecting an upward trend driven primarily by areas with high tourist demand. The states that recorded the largest increases in home values were Baja California Sur, Baja California—especially Tijuana—and Quintana Roo, with increases between 12.3 and 13.3 percent.
In contrast, Sinaloa, Guerrero, and Mexico City reported the smallest increases, with increases between 7.2 and 5.8 percent. However, despite the low increase, the country’s capital remains one of the most expensive, with an average home price reaching 3 million pesos.
