After a 10-year absence, the Carrera Panamericana will return to Chiapas for its 75th anniversary celebrations. For the first time in modern times, the race will feature eight days of competition, starting in Tuxtla Gutiérrez on October 9th and concluding in Zacatecas on the 16th of the same month.
The announcement was made recently, during the Mexico 2025 Tourist Market in Baja California, by the organizing committee and the state governor, Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar, confirming the return of this race, which was last held in the Chiapas capital on October 10, 2015.
The race will start in Tuxtla Gutiérrez on Thursday, October 9th, and then continue its route through Oaxaca, Puebla, Mexico City, Querétaro, Morelia, Guanajuato, and San Luis Potosí, before concluding in Zacatecas.
With its 14 categories, from Production Tourism, Original Panam, Historic to Exhibition Cars, this competition has a long tradition in Chiapas, in its modern stage, which began in Tuxtla from 1998 to 2008, returned in 2010, and was finally held for the last time in 2015.
