The “Contact Us for Your Housing 2025” Program, implemented by the Querétaro State Housing Institute (IVEQ), has begun following the agreement published on May 9 in the state government’s official newspaper, “La Sombra de Arteaga.”
The program’s purpose is to secure the necessary resources to contribute to improving the quality and access to housing, as well as providing legal certainty for property rights. The five subprograms of this strategy are: Self-Production in Municipalities, Economic Social Assistance for State Workers, Actions for People in Vulnerable Situations, Housing Developers in IVEQ Reserves, and Housing Support in Indigenous Communities.
The Housing Developers in IVEQ Reserves subprogram projects up to 4,000 housing initiatives, including the provision of serviced lots, single-family housing, condominium housing, and rental housing.
On the other hand, in the Housing Support program for Indigenous Communities, up to 40 beneficiaries are expected to receive up to 50,000 pesos for the purchase of a package of materials or payment for labor necessary for the execution of a housing project.
In the Self-Production in Municipalities subprogram, the IVEQ will provide up to 550,000 pesos for the construction of a new home on a buildable surface owned or in the possession of the beneficiary, while for home improvements, support will be up to 200,000 pesos.
State workers will be able to access support of no more than 250,000 pesos for the purchase of a home and for the purchase of a lot, or a capital payment of up to 150,000 pesos.
“The program called Contigo por tu Vivienda 2025 is proposed, which will constitute one of the human development policies of this state government for the 2025 fiscal year, as well as the subprograms that comprise it, to support the state’s residents in vulnerable situations, with a lack of assets, or living in extreme poverty,” the program’s operating rules state.
