In a move that could bring new economic opportunities to the region, Karisma Hotels and Resorts has expressed interest in investing at Miramar Beach in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas.
According to Jazmín Santiago Barrios, Director of Economic Development, representatives from the hotel chain approached their stand during the recent tourist market held in Baja California. “We spoke with Karisma Hotel Chain during the market,” she said. “Their franchise includes five establishments featuring restaurants and gaming venues like Nickelodeon.”
The interest in Miramar Beach comes after land-use planning is completed, at which point the available spaces will be released to investors. “Once all this regulation is released, they have to notify us about the available spaces, as they want to propose them as an investment opportunity,” Santiago Barrios explained.
This development marks a significant step forward for Ciudad Madero’s economic growth. As head of the Economic Development department, Santiago Barrios has been working tirelessly to promote Miramar Beach and the municipality as a whole.
“Karisma is the group behind brands such as Nickelodeon, Margaritaville, hotels, and resorts present in various destinations worldwide,” she noted.
To facilitate this potential investment, the department is actively identifying available areas both within Miramar Beach and throughout the city to offer them to interested investors. “We have done a great deal of work identifying suitable properties for businesses. The downtown area, main avenues, neighborhoods such as Unidad Nacional and Ampliación – there are many spaces where investment remains possible,” Santiago Barrios stated.
This effort aims to make it easier for potential investors looking to open new establishments at Miramar Beach or in other parts of the city. “We’re doing the work that they should be doing, identifying the best locations,” she concluded. “When someone expresses interest in opening a new branch, we already have available spaces ready for them.”
This development marks an exciting opportunity for Tamaulipas to attract significant investment and promote economic growth.
