The rainy season began in the mountains between Durango and Sinaloa with rainfall accompanied by hail.
The phenomenon occurred in the communities of La Galansita and Palmarejito, located in one of the areas that feed Sinaloa’s main watersheds.
Geophysicist Juan Espinoza Luna, using his Facebook account, described the event as a “blessing” and highlighted its significance after several months of prolonged drought in the region.
