The “Great Getaway” is a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry of Tourism and the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce (Concanaco), aimed at encouraging tourist mobility through special promotions on hotels, transportation, and even the Mayan Train. The event has been dubbed the “Good End of Tourism,” marking a period of discounts and economic recovery for the sector.
