Lambertina “N,” former presiding judge of the Guerrero Judiciary, was arrested in Chilpancingo, Guerrero, for her alleged involvement in the forced disappearance and crimes committed against the administration of justice by a public servant, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported.
Various security forces executed the arrest warrant against the former judge, according to a joint official statement.
“Through desk and field investigations carried out in the municipality of Chilpancingo, we learned of a home located on Abasolo Street, in the Ruffo Figueroa neighborhood, where a former state public official was being held, with an arrest warrant out for her.”
The operation was carried out after obtaining a search warrant, and Lambertina “N,” who is “linked to the events that occurred in Ayotzinapa in 2014” — when the 43 students disappeared — was arrested at the property.
The Cabinet stated that the woman “was informed of the reason for her arrest, her legal rights, and was placed at the disposal of the requesting authority.”
Authorities also confirmed that “this person is linked to the disappearance of video recordings placed at the Palace of Justice in Iguala, Guerrero, where the events occurred in September 2014.”
Finally, the Security Cabinet stated that it “reaffirms its commitment to working in a coordinated manner to clarify relevant cases and apply justice in the country.”
