State roads in poor condition

Potholes, cracks, and the risk of accidents on some sections of the Navojoa-Huatabampo highway were reported by drivers, who explained that there is evident deterioration in certain areas, making it necessary to rehabilitate them.

Those affected, who chose to remain anonymous, noted that no rehabilitation, restoration, or maintenance work has been observed on this highway in recent months, which has contributed to the appearance of more potholes and damage in some sections.

“There are some large potholes that urgently need to be addressed. When driving at speed, they are difficult to avoid and can cause accidents,” they stated.

Furthermore, they explained that, with the arrival of rains in the region, the condition of the road could worsen, increasing the risk of accidents. They also mentioned that this section is used by heavy traffic transporting products from the countryside.

On the other hand, they noted that potholes and damage to the asphalt have also been observed in sections of the Navojoa-Álamos Highway.

At this intersection, they mentioned that resurfacing projects implemented in some sections have reduced the risk; however, there are still areas for improvement.

In the case of the Navojoa-Álamos Highway, it was responsible for accidents and damage due to vehicle suspension last year.

“There is a lack of attention; it represents a deadly risk because many cars travel at high speeds, so a solution is needed,” they urged.
