A project that aims to provide a final destination for the remains of loved ones and contribute to the conservation and restoration of marine ecosystems is taking shape in Quintana Roo.
This is an ecological alternative to the storage of human ashes and has been proposed as the first marine cemetery in Mexico, called Mare Santuario del Mar.
Boat owners in northern Quintana Roo expressed their support, highlighting that “it would be the first of its kind in Mexico and would contribute to promoting nautical tourism and marine conservation.”
