At least 100 merchants intermittently blocked Vicente Guerrero Boulevard in Acapulco to demand an end to the alleged harassment by the Ministerial Investigative Police.

Around 2:00 p.m., protesters closed both directions of the road, the same area being flown over by a Navy helicopter. A convoy of 10 patrol cars temporarily opened the blockade and then closed it again.

This morning, the Guerrero government reported that it deployed National Guard and State Police officers to prevent blockades on Vicente Guerrero Boulevard, La Cima, and El Retorno.

Yesterday, three men were arrested and a woman was rescued in the town of La Venta. Agents from the Ministerial Investigative Police, Army soldiers, and National Guard officers, as well as members of the Ministry of Public Security, participated in the arrest.
