Starting in June, nine new public works projects will begin in the municipality of Querétaro. These projects include road infrastructure, the creation and improvement of recreational and sports facilities, and the improvement of public markets.
Francisco Villegas Solís, Secretary of Public Works for the Municipality of Querétaro, announced that 12 public works projects have been completed so far this administration, with an investment of approximately 86 million pesos, and six more are currently underway, with an investment of approximately 82 million pesos.
The Secretary of Public Works explained that during the current administration, public works focused on improving and modernizing the city’s infrastructure have been executed for more than 168 million pesos.
The Secretary of Public Works stated that work will begin between May and June in 5 of the 7 boroughs.
He emphasized that the interventions being carried out are part of a plan based on listening to citizens and addressing real needs.
“These projects are not only built to meet that objective, but also to achieve, strictly speaking, efficiency, responsibility, and social responsibility. Because this administration, as we have always said, works with order and direction, so that the future of Querétaro families is better,” he said.
The projects already completed include the construction of infrastructure and cobblestone paving on Carlos Esquerro, Roque González, Carlos Govea, Alfonso Cabrera, and Pascual Luna streets in the Reforma Agraria neighborhood; the paving of various roads in El Granjenal, San Juan, and Lomas del Tepeyac; as well as the rehabilitation of the canvas on the sports fields in the Las Américas neighborhood.
The projects currently underway include the renovation of public lighting on Alameda Hidalgo; the rehabilitation of infrastructure and paving on Olivos Street in Jurica Campestre; the comprehensive renovation of Alfalfares Park in the El Rocío neighborhood; and the rehabilitation of Jesús García Alley.
