The governor of the State of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier, announced that they are already working on the Anti-Corruption Law to end irregular procedures. Furthermore, there are currently 471 files on employees allegedly involved in corrupt activities in the public service.
The Puebla governor explained that, with the initiation of the suggestion, the goal was to eliminate corruption. Therefore, 471 investigation files have been registered and distributed among the 22 internal oversight bodies of the State.
“In 2025, 471 investigation files distributed among the 22 internal oversight bodies of the State include alleged administrative responsibilities, for omissions, for non-compliance, and for possible acts of corruption,” he added.
In addition, he said that 36 public officials from different agencies have been sanctioned, 2 have been dismissed; 22 have been disqualified; one has been publicly reprimanded; 10 have been privately reprimanded, and one has been suspended.
There is no omission or persecution
“This year, the State System of Public Servants has sanctioned 36, 2 have been dismissed, 22 have been disqualified, one has been publicly reprimanded, 10 have been privately reprimanded, and one has been suspended. There is no omission, but there is no persecution either,” he declared.
However, the governor did not specify the exact date on which this law will be formally presented, so that it can be endorsed by the representatives of the Puebla Congress.
“If a businessman made a career, there is no question of going to see the assistant, the director, or the engineer to expedite the process, as was done in other countries, or that they have already gone to see the Ministry of the Environment, because now all projects require an environmental impact assessment,” he added.
