The Governor extends a warm welcome to business leaders from the Chedraui Group, who will invest nearly 3.5 billion pesos for 13 new commercial stores in the state.
As further proof that “his administration has a humanistic will,” but above all, a healthy and worthy desire to “instrument the best causes of social, commercial, and business well-being so that Tamaulipas continues to grow and strengthen national investment,” Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya, along with distinguished executives from the Chedraui Business Group, announced an investment of 3.487 billion pesos for the creation of 13 new stores of this renowned commercial consortium.
Governor Villarreal Anya, after warmly welcoming the Chedraui Commercial Group’s investment plan, emphatically emphasized and expressed confidence that this new opportunity for economic development will allow us to continue promoting the social well-being of the people of Tamaulipas. And, consequently, consolidate his firm ideal of promoting the best causes of his government so that Tamaulipas continues its journey along the best of paths, toward horizons of tangible commercial prosperity. The Tamaulipas governor stated that “this type of national investment, as well as foreign investment, will always be welcome in Tamaulipas,” because, naturally, “they are fervent guiding principles of growth and development.” Therefore, today, “with the arrival of 13 new Chedraui Group stores in our state,” this further motivates and urges us to maintain excellent results in socioeconomic strengthening,” adding that “we will continue to support this commercial work with relevance and perseverance.”
Then, Governor Américo Villarreal stated and maintained that, “under the humanism and support of the Transformation that we have here in Tamaulipas,” we will redouble our commitment and efforts, with the goal that, just as the Chedraui Commercial Consortium arrives in our state today, with the same enthusiasm, we will welcome more companies that, “of course, generate wealth for families.” Tamaulipas,” for the creation of thousands of jobs, and even more so because, “our state, due to its geographical position, continues to be an attractive state for entrepreneurs from Mexico and the world,” he emphasized.
It should be noted that, during yesterday’s working meeting, Tuesday, in the Boardroom of the Government Palace, the Tamaulipas governor, along with the Secretary of Economy, Ninfa Cantú Deandar, received the president and co-founder of the group, Alfredo Chedraui López, and Eduardo Durán, the company’s Expansion Manager. They announced a plan to open 13 new stores in seven cities in the state and generate 6,412 jobs over the next five years.
After highlighting Tamaulipas’ competitive and strategic advantages and the projects underway to consolidate the state’s development, Américo Villarreal reiterated his government’s full willingness to support this type of investment and provide support in the efforts and necessary procedures to provide certainty, especially when it comes, he said, from “a Mexican company like Chedraui.”
“May this be the first of many meetings, and we’ll see you at the opening of the first store,” he expressed.
At the meeting, which was also attended by the rector of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, Dámaso Anaya Alvarado, the executives explained that, with this expansion, “Grupo Chedraui strengthens its presence in Tamaulipas,” where it currently operates 37 stores under the Chedraui, Súper Chedraui, Súper Che, Supercito, Aká Superbodega, Arteli, and Arteli Express formats.
