The Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts group announced that it will open its new Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende hotel this summer, as part of its latest line of luxury boutique hotels. During the first official media visit to the property, executives and representatives shared details of this project, which seeks to position itself as a benchmark in high-end tourism in Mexico.

Located just a ten-minute walk from the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, this new 111-room property is part of the expansion of the Pueblo Bonito Vantage brand, which debuted in May with the opening in Mazatlán’s Historic Center. The new brand aims to offer a hospitality offering based on handcrafted luxury, personalized design, and an authentic connection to the destination.

“Pueblo Bonito Vantage is our most refined interpretation of luxury: intimate, handcrafted, and designed for travelers seeking to connect with the soul of the place,” said Mary van den Heuvel, marketing director of Pueblo Bonito hotels, in an interview with El Economista.

Concept

The San Miguel hotel was developed with a focus on detail and contemporary Mexican design. The renowned firm Arquitectura de Interiores was in charge of the concept, creating spaces with local materials, art curated by regional gallery owners, and a palette that reflects the city’s identity.

Each room is equipped with high-end amenities: a pillow menu, L’Occitane bath products (and Bulgari in suites), Bose sound systems, and terraces with views of historic landmarks such as the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel. The hotel will also be pet-friendly in six rooms.

Beyond Hospitality

In an interview with El Economista, Lucy Ruiz, the property’s general manager, commented that the main differentiator will be the focus on advanced wellness, through a concept based on biohacking.

Biohacking is our way of letting guests know that taking care of their health can also be pleasurable, sensorial, and deeply transformative,” said Lucy Ruíz.

The wellness area, called Aromátika Spa & Wellness, is divided into three pillars: Heal, Flow, and Reboot. Its main treatments include lymphatic drainage, which helps eliminate toxins and strengthen the immune system, and Rebirth, a dry flotation bed experience with heat and massage that seeks to reduce physical and mental stress.

Additionally, the Sana Bar will offer functional beverages and nutritional options designed to complement the wellness experience. The offering also includes private sculpture and painting classes in the hotel gardens, a space designed to connect with the artistic essence of San Miguel de Allende.

Dining

On the dining side, LaFrida restaurant will feature signature Mexican cuisine using charcoal-grilled techniques, local ingredients, and a selection of premium wines and cocktails. Terraza V will offer tapas, signature mixology, and panoramic sunset views, said Ruíz.

To facilitate the experience Each visitor will have a Vantage Host, a concierge, butler, and cultural host who organizes activities both inside and outside the hotel, providing personalized attention.

The Pueblo Bonito Vantage brand

The first hotel in this new line, the Pueblo Bonito Vantage Mazatlán, opened in May of this year and is located in Mazatlán’s Historic Center, in a restored 19th-century building. This hotel marked the beginning of a new era for the group, focusing on boutique properties with their own unique personality.

Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende was already internationally recognized before its opening. The International Property Awards awarded it Best Hotel Architecture in Mexico and Best Design and Construction.

The goal of this new brand is to offer an alternative to travelers seeking a lodging experience that combines design, well-being, gastronomy, and attention to detail. The idea of ”handmade luxury” is embodied not only in the physical spaces but also in the personalized service and connection with the local culture, concluded Mary van den Heuvel.

Scheduled to open this summer, Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende is emerging as one of the new additions to luxury tourism in Mexico.
