Heavy rains cause traffic chaos in the SLP Metropolitan Area.

An intense storm hit the capital of San Luis Potosí and the municipality of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez tonight, leaving multiple road damages in its wake and turning the streets into high-risk areas for motorists and pedestrians.

The rains, which began at dusk, caused the closure of major roads due to flooding and dangerous traffic conditions. Among the closed roads are the Manuel José Othón Bridge, the Naranja Bridge, the Pemex Bridge, the Glorieta Real Inn overpass, and the Río Santiago and Río Españita boulevards.

In addition to the street closures, several vehicles were reported stranded due to accumulated water, which worsened traffic chaos in different parts of the city. Authorities have issued recommendations for the population to avoid leaving home, especially at night, and to take precautions against possible rain in the coming hours.

Emergency services and municipal services are expected to work through the night to restore traffic and address the most affected areas.
