A 38-year-old woman from Tabasco was the victim of an attempted murder after being attacked with a knife to the neck, allegedly by her ex-partner, in the Real Bilbao neighborhood of this city.
The attack occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The alleged assailant, Alejandro Iván “N,” 32, from Campeche, fled after committing the attack.
Civil Protection paramedics responded to the scene, stabilized the victim, and rushed her to the IMSS-Bienestar General Hospital, where she remains under medical observation.
Agents from the State Attorney General’s Office attended the hospital to gather initial information and opened an investigation for attempted femicide. The victim is already receiving psychological support from the Municipal Women’s Institute while she files her complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
