For the third consecutive year, the enchanting island of Isla Mujeres has been nominated for the prestigious World Travel Awards, widely regarded as the “Oscars of Tourism” worldwide. The Municipal Government of Isla Mujeres, led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, is proud to have received this nomination in the category of “Leading Island Destination in Mexico and Central America”.
This recognition serves as a testament to the tireless efforts of the local government to promote sustainable tourism while preserving the island’s natural beauty and promoting the well-being of its people.
