Municipal President Estrella Palacios Domínguez met this Tuesday with Governor Rubén Rocha Moya to discuss public safety, road transportation, and property deed registration.
Regarding housing, Palacios Domínguez announced that with the support of the state governor, more families will benefit through the “Your Deed, Your Home” program. The City Council’s Housing and Land Ownership Department is advancing the deed registration process for the well-being of more Mazatlecos.
Regarding security, she indicated that reinforcement strategies in the municipality are continuing, as well as close coordination between the three levels of government in the ongoing meetings of the Regional Peacebuilding Roundtable.
“Yesterday (Tuesday, June 17), I met with the governor. We discussed issues that benefit Mazatlecos here, including security and mobility. We are going to continue with the deed registration program. Here in the municipality, that program is called ‘Your Deed, Your Home,’ and Ms. Marcela Herrera is leading that program. We already have many more people who will soon benefit from more female writers, and that’s thanks to our governor,” she said.
The mayor emphasized that they will also work on more programs promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, focused on women, with a unit that will provide psychological, legal, and social work support. She announced that the inauguration of this new space will take place soon.
“It’s a free space for women, led by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum. It’s something that will contribute to benefiting our Mazatlan women, and we’ll also be working on Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum’s program, ‘Paths of Peace.’ We’re looking to have federal programs here as well,” she commented.
