Relatives of four people who disappeared on the Cadereyta-Reynosa highway demanded the authorities’ support to expedite the search four days after their disappearance.

The individuals were returning from Nuevo León to Reynosa when they lost communication with them, in two separate incidents.

María de la Luz Lara, 48, and her wife, Natalia Gisela Ramírez Nolasco, 50, along with Teresa Lizbeth Pérez Fuentes, 26, were traveling together when they disappeared on June 14.

Two women close to the couple stated that “they told us they had stopped, but then we lost communication.”

So far, the only thing recovered from the case was the gray Ford Fusion they were traveling in; it was found in the town of Los Ramones, Nuevo León.

The second case is that of Pedro Antonio Lorenzo Martínez, who was reported missing on June 15, also on that highway.

The 48-year-old man was traveling in his vehicle when his wife lost contact with him.

The woman stated this Thursday that “the only response” she received from authorities was confirmation that “the truck had left downtown Nuevo León,” where it was located.

“I don’t want them to waste time in the truck; I want them to go and look for them,” she stated.

For its part, the Collective Love for the Disappeared in Tamaulipas classified this highway as dangerous and stated that there is an increase in missing persons on it because it lacks security checkpoints and the presence of patrol officers.

Earlier this week, the disappearance of “Los Junior’s de Monterrey” was reported while traveling on the highway to the municipality of General Terán. Their families had reported that they had also lost contact with them after finishing work at a bar in Monterrey. Governor Samuel García confirmed hours later that the members had been found “safe and sound.”
