On August 2nd, the Bloque Center for Innovation and Creative Technology will host the regional video game championship of the National Federation of Video Games (Fenavide), announced Rodrigo Ruiz Ballesteros, director of Bloque.
Ruiz Ballesteros noted that the National Sports Commission (Conade) already recognizes e-sports as a national sport, and therefore emphasized that on August 2nd, two participants will be selected to participate in the Pan American Cup, which will be held on October 2nd in Brazil.
“I would like to mention that during the Summit, we signed an agreement with the National Federation of Video Games to ensure that Bloque will become the official host of all the championships that this federation will hold,” he noted.

The agreement includes the creation and development of specific programs and agreements in the sports, social, and educational fields, including disciplines such as e-sports.
Registration to participate in the national video game final will be open starting July 15, and the video games that will be played are Tekken 8 and E-Football.
He also announced that Gamer’s Day will be held on August 30, a family event featuring live content creation and streamers broadcasting from the venue. That day, there will be retro arcade machines for all ages with games like Tetris and Pac-Man; consoles with on-site FIFA and Warzone competitions; and an F1 2024 Sim Racing simulator.
“On Gamer’s Day, we will have retro, arcade, and other games. It’s important; it’s free, although Bloque’s spaces have a capacity limit that we must respect,” he added.
While the first international drone congress will be held on October 3, 4, and 5, featuring a drone exhibition, technical workshops, an FPV drone race, conferences, live flight zones, and networking, all drone companies are invited to participate.
Meanwhile, on December 13, Call of Duty Turkey Day will be celebrated, featuring epic duels between fans of the most famous shooter, a festive Thanksgiving-themed atmosphere, and a gamer symphony concert.
Registration for Turkey Day, the drone congress, and Gamer Day will open on June 5 through the Bloque platform.
