Guadalajara police have saved nine people from flooding in two days.

In two days of flooding, officers from the Guadalajara Public Safety Commission rescued nine people.

In the first incident, early Saturday morning, drivers were trapped in their vehicles in the floodwaters of the Quinta Velarde neighborhood.

Guadalajara police officers were patrolling the Ejército and González Gallo highways when they observed six vehicles stranded in the flood, all with people inside.

Therefore, officers Yesica Lupercio and Ángel Arnoldo Ortiz used ropes and rescue equipment to perform extraction maneuvers and rescued six men between the ages of 33 and 65.

The agency reported that the rescued individuals were in apparent good health and did not require medical transport.

Meanwhile, in another incident, early Sunday morning, police from the same public safety agency rescued two men and a woman who were trapped in their truck in a flooded overpass.

While patrolling England and Niños Héroes Avenues in Jardines del Bosque, they observed a van with three people trapped by the floodwaters on an overpass.

Police officers María Fernanda Cervantes and Armando Echeverría immediately entered the water, which reached a height of approximately 1.75 meters, lifted the people out, and pulled them to safety.

The woman and two men, aged 32, 30, and 39, respectively, received medical attention; they had no injuries and appeared to be in good health.
