During July, Puerto Vallarta will experience a decrease in cruise ship arrivals, with only four scheduled arrivals due to the Pacific tropical cyclone season, according to the Vallarta National Port System Administration, which detailed the maritime visit schedule for the month.
The first cruise ship to arrive will be the Navigator of the Seas, which will dock on Tuesday, July 8, at Pier 2 at 7:00 a.m. and depart at 5:00 p.m., after allowing its passengers to enjoy the destination’s natural attractions and culinary offerings.
That same day, at 8:42 a.m., the 323-meter Carnival Panorama will arrive at Pier 3. Although it usually arrives on Wednesdays, this time it will arrive on a Tuesday. Its departure is scheduled for 10:00 p.m., generating a double day of maritime tourism that seeks to keep the local economy active during the low season.
The other two confirmed arrivals will also be on Tuesdays: the Navigator of the Seas will return on July 15th, with the same arrival and departure times, while the Carnival Panorama will make its second visit of the month on Tuesday the 22nd, also arriving at 8:42 a.m. and departing at 10:00 p.m. Both ships are part of the regular Pacific Riviera cruise itinerary.
It’s worth noting that, from January to June of this year, Puerto Vallarta has welcomed a total of 90 cruise ships. Of these, 20 arrived in January, 13 in February, 21 in March, 23 in April, 10 in May, and 3 in June. These figures reflect the destination’s tourism dynamism during peak season and the expected decline during the months of greatest hurricane activity.
