Mexico’s Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar Garcia Harfuch, posted on social media that a massive seizure was made during surveillance at a highway checkpoint in Sonora.

Apparently, members of the National Guard, the Army, and the Criminal Investigation Agency asked a truck driver to allow them to inspect his vehicle because it looked suspicious.

As soon as the officers inspected it, they discovered 1,201 packages hidden inside the trailer. They proceeded to remove and analyze them, revealing that they were cocaine.

Following this discovery, authorities arrested the truck driver and seized both the vehicle and the thousands of packages found inside, turning everything over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
