A group of people blocked the roadway section connecting Chiapa de Corzo with Tuxtla Gutiérrez, near the Ampliación Adriana Gabriela neighborhood, heading east to west. They disagree with the appointment of municipal agent Manuel González Trejo, allegedly imposed by the mayor of Chiapa de Corzo, Límbano Domínguez.
They demanded that the current municipal agent remain in office, as a vote was scheduled to be held this Sunday, August 24, to elect this authority; however, the vote was suspended.
They explained that this neighborhood is an expansion under the jurisdiction of the Adriana Gabriela neighborhood, which for more than twelve years has appointed municipal agents who, in previous administrations, have prevented public works in this neighborhood inhabited by approximately three thousand people.
They asked state authorities to address this request, and the road will remain closed until they receive a favorable response.
