Puerto Vallarta shone brightly at the 29th edition of the Latin American International Tourism Fair (FIT 2025), held in Buenos Aires from September 27 to 30.
This year, this event attracted a record 140,000 visitors and established itself as the most important tourism gathering in the region and one of the leading global events.
The fair brought together 59 countries and representatives and more than 1,900 exhibitors who collectively made 10,800 business appointments. It also offered a unique opportunity for development through 170 training sessions in six auditoriums.
Puerto Vallarta had a prominent presence in the Mexican pavilion, strengthening its presence in the South American market and attracting both trade representatives and potential travelers who expressed their intention to visit the Jalisco destination.
The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust held important meetings with tour operators and retail agencies, as well as interviews with specialized media, promoting the destination as one of Mexico’s most attractive tourist gems.
Prior to the start of FIT, the Trust held two strategic events: the first, in partnership with Aeroméxico, aimed at tour operators, and the second with retail agencies, hosted by the wholesaler LOGAN.
Both events featured training seminars highlighting the island’s paradisiacal beaches, year-round warm climate, varied hotel offerings, vibrant boardwalk, stunning sunsets, and unique experiences such as whale watching (from November to March), sea turtle releases, and swimming with dolphins in their natural habitat.
With these initiatives, Puerto Vallarta reaffirms its role as Mexico’s leading destination in Latin America, generating new business ties and sparking the interest of thousands of travelers seeking authentic and memorable experiences.
