At a press conference, Durango entrepreneurs announced the Sasa Delivery app, which will seek to compete with international companies operating in Durango. This will offer attractive commissions, such as guaranteeing delivery drivers 50 pesos for each delivery.
According to one of its members, Óscar Miranda, this tool relies on local talent who have been working for some time and understand the market and the economic situation of those dedicated to this work.
“We are offering another tool for everyone involved in commerce, because it’s not just restaurants; we also have a hardware store, a pharmacy, and various businesses that require home delivery of various products and services offered in the city,” he commented.
Miranda clarified that the app will be available for all operating systems. One of the key features is that the same price will be maintained for products found in stores. Other platforms charge up to 40 percent commission, but Sasa will not.
When the delivery drivers, whether from restaurants or other establishments, carry out the cut, the amount charged will depend on the number of orders, but will not exceed 500 pesos.
Regarding delivery drivers, the businessman stated that they will be guaranteed protective equipment, such as helmets, and, as is already the law, social security. Regarding the payment method, they will be asked to pay a fee of 180 pesos upon starting, but whatever they earn from orders will be given to them in full.
“As a business owner, you say, ‘Wow, I have a really good restaurant, I have my delicious gorditas, but I have to raise the price of the product by 46 percent.’ Here with Sasa Delivery, that’s eliminated; we don’t charge a percentage. That’s a phrase I’ll repeat several times so you can share it with everyone,” the businessman concluded.
