In this regard, he recalled that as of last Thursday, at least 10 communities were cut off from traffic, both for vehicles and people.
“Practically all the communities are now connected by land. We were able to enter the last one, Vega de Ramírez, and support was even provided.”
However, he specified that in some cases, access is only allowed to pedestrians, and the roads are expected to be cleared in the coming days.
“Many communities remain cut off from traffic, as there is no way to enter by vehicle, but the State Infrastructure Commission and the Ministry of Communications and Transportation are providing assistance.”

Although in some cases, communication had not been achieved due to the flooding of rivers and streams, for now, the weather conditions have improved.
It’s worth mentioning that these communities have dirt access roads, but it’s unknown when they could be fully rehabilitated.
