PAN Senator Lilly Téllez published the fourth of six videos seeking to expose the alleged corruption network headed by Adán Augusto López Hernández, coordinator of the Morena senators.
The PAN member explained that this new material focuses on revealing how various healthcare companies linked to Adán Augusto’s network managed to obtain public contracts, including those associated with the governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama.
The video claims that the Tabasco native took advantage of the health crisis resulting from COVID-19 to promote multimillion-dollar deals through hospital and mobile clinic construction companies.
The narrative directly accuses the Mexican government of “the network of corruption, organized crime, money laundering, and tax evasion led by Adán Augusto López, operating with impunity and protected from the National Palace for years.”
According to the recording, businessman Carlo Padilla said:
“What we do is talk to that governor who used to be from Tabasco and build this hospital for him. Mr. Adán, or Adán Augusto. We are a very large company, with 5,000 employees. He was the one who hired us, the governor; now he’s a senator.”
The recording also refers to the governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama, who is credited with profiting from this network of companies linked to Adán Augusto.
Padilla commented in the material released by Téllez:
“Mara Lezama… we are specialists in mobile health programs in trucks… we have hospitals inside trucks, our mobile clinics are made up of 13 trucks, and we travel throughout the state bringing healthcare to the population, the poor, as you can see.”
The narration highlights that one of the linked companies, FMedical, is a supplier of mobile medical units to the Quintana Roo government.
“We will discuss the multimillion-dollar contracts awarded to companies linked to Adán Augusto López in Quintana Roo and Baja California in upcoming installments,” the video adds.
In previous installments, she had already identified businessmen such as Fernando and Carlo Padilla as front men for López Hernández, in addition to alleging that the funds obtained were used for contracts, billboards, and even his internal campaign within Morena.
The senator announced that there are still two more videos to be published, with which she assures she will continue to document Adán Augusto’s alleged ties to benefiting companies and political allies.
