BREAKING NEWS: Storm at the National Palace

2

Last night, the perfect storm hit the Sheinbaum Palace. The complex economic situation has been compounded by the rise of Generation Z, who called for the November 15th march, which drew thousands of citizens who, despite all the government’s warnings to discourage participation, were there.
The government’s reaction was more than violent; it not only repressed the protests but also accused many of the detained young people of “attempted homicide,” something it hadn’t done to any of those who, in previous marches, had attacked businesses or tried to enter the National Palace. The government has reacted like a wounded beast; it never expected a movement called by young people and supported by everyone.
For President Sheinbaum, things are getting worse. Polls conducted by the Ministry of the Interior show Morena trailing in some states where they had been leading, and they are now projected to lose their majority in the Chamber of Deputies. And to further highlight the crisis, Generation Z is calling for another march on the 20th, and the President is already considering canceling the parade that day.
The government is in check; what comes next is for the movement to organize itself territorially and, why not, electorally, if it is capable of doing so; Morena will go from being in check to being checkmated. They not only found the tiger, but they woke it up and are making it angry. If they march again this November 20th, Generation Z will have arrived to stay.
