The agency documented a significant price difference between lodging in downtown Tulum and in Jaguar Park, where the highest rates are concentrated.

After several weeks of controversy surrounding high prices at hotels, restaurants, and shops in Tulum, Quintana Roo, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) suspended several establishments and found food and beverages with exorbitant prices.
