American Airlines has launched a new seasonal route from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Querétaro International Airport (QRO), which will operate during the peak holiday season, from December 19, 2025, to January 13, 2026.

The seasonal route will be operated with a Boeing 737 with a capacity of 172 passengers.

“As we approach the holiday season, we are very pleased to expand our presence in Querétaro with the launch of this new service to Chicago. This addition offers our customers even more convenient options for traveling to the United States during this busy period,” said José María Giraldo, Managing Director of Operations for Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada, and Central America. “From Chicago, travelers can easily connect to more than 160 destinations worldwide, thanks to over 465 daily flights during peak season.”

American’s hub at Chicago O’Hare International Airport is the airline’s fourth-largest gateway, offering customers access to more than 465 daily peak-hour flights to over 160 destinations, including London (LHR), Toronto (YYZ), and Montreal (YUL). American has added more than 20 new destinations from ORD this year and enhanced the travel experience by including premium cabin offerings on all flights to and from Chicago.
