Durango, a land steeped in cinema and the setting for dozens of films, will host the first edition of the Titan Desert Mexico from November 13th to 16th. The race will consist of four stages covering a total of 400 km for the 500 expected participants.

The region, steeped in film history, presented the event at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR). This race joins the ‘Titan World Series’ circuit, which already includes stages in Morocco, Patagonia, and Almería (Spain). It will be the third race in the Americas, following those in Cuba and Chile.

The presentation was attended by Elisa María Haro Ruiz, Secretary of Tourism for the State of Durango; Jesús García Hernández, President of Experientia Group; and Jaime Mijares Salum, President of the Durango Hotel Association.

“Durango celebrates the arrival of the Titan Desert Mexico, as it will be an important forum for promoting and showcasing the state’s natural and cultural riches, in addition to generating economic activity for the various communities along the route,” stated Elisa María Haro.

Jesús García emphasized the importance of the Durango Titan Desert Mexico. “This initiative is the product of years of work, during which we always knew it would succeed because Durango is committed to sports and adventure and wants to show its wonderful territory to the world. For us, it’s an opportunity to offer the Titans an experience like no other,” he highlighted.

The Durango Titan Desert Mexico will consist of four stages, each approximately 100 kilometers long. It’s a true challenge that will highlight the contrasting terrains of the Durango region: canyons, desert, forest, and mountains.
