The road blockade on Federal Highway 200, the coastal highway, was reinstated Friday morning in the Isthmus region, Civil Protection authorities reported.
The Regional Civil Protection Delegation in the Isthmus indicated that at 8:40 a.m. on January 23, 2026, the complete closure of traffic was reinstated on the Salina Cruz–Huatulco section, near the town of Morro Mazatán.
The blockade continues to prevent vehicular traffic on the road toward Huatulco, causing ongoing disruptions for motorists, public transportation, and freight trucks traveling along this important coastal route.
