Plan your visit; Veracruz awaits you with a wide range of activities

The Veracruz Tourism Secretariat (SECTUR) invites you to explore Veracruz and enjoy a wide range of activities until February 1st, with experiences that combine tradition, gastronomy, sports, and entertainment.

The port city of Veracruz offers activities and workshops leading up to Carnival until January 31st; while in Boca del Río, Mexican Softball League games are being held at Beto Ávila Stadium, with matches between the Charros de Jalisco Softball, Naranjeros Softball, and Las Gloriosas, scheduled from January 29th to February 1st.

The Arena Veracruz hosts the National Senior Taekwondo Championship, which will take place on January 30th and 31st; meanwhile, on the 31st, the FMF Premier League game between Racing de Veracruz and Tapachula will be held at the Hugo Sánchez Sports Complex, and from January 31st to February 1st, the World Trade Center will host the KIPON Expo.

Xalapa will host the National Track Cycling Championships from January 27 to 31, with events taking place at the International Velodrome. This event will bring together athletes from across the country.

Xico will celebrate the Canary Tamale Festival in Independence Park from January 30 to February 2, promoting the region’s culinary identity.

Papantla will hold its fifth annual Tamale and Atole Festival from January 31 to February 2, a celebration that highlights the gastronomic traditions of the northern region of the state.

Tlacotalpan will host events from January 31 to February 9; Cosautlán from January 31 to February 4; Soledad de Doblado and Ixhuatlancillo from January 31 to February 7; and Totutla, specifically in the town of Mata Obscura, from January 31 to February 2. And Jáltipan, from January 31st to February 3rd, will celebrate the Candelaria Festival, one of the state’s most representative celebrations.

Huayacocotla, in the community of Palo Bendito, will celebrate the festival in honor of the Virgin of Candelaria and the Virgin of San Juan from January 31st to February 3rd, while Gutiérrez Zamora will hold the Tamaliza Zamoreña (Zamora-style Tamale Festival) in the Central Park on February 1st and 2nd.
