The MS Seven Seas Grandeur cruise ship, from Regent Seven Seas Cruises, arrived this Friday morning. With this arrival, Guerrero has now welcomed seven cruise ships so far this year and twelve during the current season, figures that reflect the growing preference of international cruise lines for the destination and the strengthening of tourism activity promoted by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda.

The vessel, flying the Marshall Islands flag, sailed along the coast and arrived at the port at 7:30 a.m., docking at 8:30 a.m., having sailed from Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, bound for Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala.

On board are 726 passengers and 547 crew members, totaling 1,273 people, who contribute directly to the local economy. Most passengers have pre-booked tours, which immediately boosts tourism service providers and promotes Acapulco’s natural, cultural, and culinary attractions.

The Guerrero State Tourism Secretariat highlighted that the steady arrival of cruise ships is the result of coordinated efforts to strengthen the port’s image, enhance the visitor experience, and solidify Guerrero, the Home of the Sun, as a strategic and competitive destination on the Mexican Pacific coast.
