State and federal authorities presented the “Creative Market” Digital Platform at the Palace of Culture in Tlaxcala. This national directory connects creators, collectives, and cultural businesses in the digital environment.

The initiative is promoted by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture of Tlaxcala and the Ministry of Economy, through Colmena Center for Creative Technologies.

The event brought together creators, artisans, designers, cultural managers, and representatives from the public and private sectors in a space for dialogue between culture, economics, and technology.

The platform functions as a direct connection space, eliminating intermediaries, where creative services can be offered and contracted directly. Its aim is to strengthen the visibility of cultural work, foster collaboration among creative agents, and promote the sustainable development of the sector in the digital sphere.

Furthermore, it seeks to expand job opportunities and diversify the contracting of cultural services nationwide.

During her remarks, the Secretary of Culture of Tlaxcala, Karen Álvarez Villeda, pointed out that the tool represents a strategic opportunity to place creative talent at the center of cultural and economic development.

She emphasized that it will facilitate access to new tools for professional development, visibility, and growth, and invited the artistic community to register and embrace the platform as an engine for collaboration and opportunities.

For his part, Sergio Fuentes Rodríguez, Director of Creative Industries at the Federal Ministry of Economy, underscored the importance of linking the creative economy with other productive sectors of the country.

He explained that the agency has established a permanent commission on creative industries to foster dialogue with different business sectors, expand the contracting of creative services, and prevent opportunities from being concentrated among a few providers.

Meanwhile, Marcela Flores Méndez, Director of the Digital Culture Center, highlighted the importance of cross-departmental collaboration between agencies such as culture, economy, tourism, and labor, in order to comprehensively address the needs of the sector.

He noted that the Digital Creative Market Directory redefines traditional models by becoming an inclusive and dynamic space that fosters the direct exchange of services and strengthens collaboration among cultural agents.

With this platform, the Government of Mexico and the Government of Tlaxcala seek to directly connect culture and the economy, create conditions for the sustainable growth of the creative sector, and open new avenues for employment and collaboration for thousands of people who make a living from their talent.
