A millionaire robbery registered on January 29 in a hospital in Cancun is being investigated by state authorities, who have already reported arrests and arrests.

The prosecutor’s office reported that, as a result of the investigations, a search warrant was obtained, which was completed on February 2, 2026. During that proceeding, three people were arrested, identified as Belén del Carmen “N”, Rubén Darío “N” and Ronny de Jesús “N”.

In Informative Bulletin 0023-SSPE-083, the agency specified that the people arrested are indicated for their probable participation in the crime of aggravated robbery related to the events that occurred in the hospital.

Authorities confirm that one of the arrested people worked at the Cancun hospital

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Quintana Roo reported that one of the three people arrested for the robbery with violence committed in a private hospital in Cancun was a worker of the hospital itself at the time of the events.

According to the official gazette issued on February 2, 2026, the person identified as Belén del Carmen “N” had an employment relationship with the hospital where the robbery occurred on January 29, 2026. The prosecutor’s office specified that the detainee was placed at the disposal of a judge along with the other two insured people, identified as Rubén Darío “N” and Ronny de Jesús “N”, who also face the corresponding legal process for their probable participation in the theft of 2.5 million pesos in cash.

During the search authorized by a judge, the authorities secured cash, firearms, magazines, useful cartridges and motorcycles, objects that were incorporated as evidence into the investigation folder.

The prosecutor’s office said that these indications are related to the robbery that occurred on January 29 and will be analyzed by experts to strengthen the investigation and determine criminal responsibilities in accordance with the law.

The seized objects were under the protection of the ministerial authority, as part of the corresponding legal procedure.

The Secretariat of Citizen Security of Quintana Roo reported, through a press release issued on February 2, 2026, that the three arrested people were placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.

The agency specified that, after the initial hearing, a judge determined preventive detention for the detainees, while investigations continue for the robbery with violence in the Cancun hospital.

The Ministry of Citizen Security also confirmed the seizure of a motorcycle allegedly used during the assault, as well as cash related to the events under investigation.
