The Government of the State of Aguascalientes operates a program of Day Centers and Dining Halls for Senior Citizens, with the goal of providing free care, companionship, and basic services to this segment of the population.
Currently, 17 dining halls operate in various municipalities, nine of which also function as Day Centers. These spaces allow senior citizens to spend the day in a safe and comfortable environment with activities designed to strengthen their physical, mental, and emotional health.
From Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., participants engage in crafts, physical activity, and board games that stimulate their cognitive and motor skills.
In addition to recreational activities, the centers offer personal care services such as haircuts, gel manicures, and facials, with the aim of promoting self-esteem and overall well-being.
Starting at 1:00 p.m., a hot and nutritious meal is provided, prepared daily to help improve the quality of life of those who attend.
