The State Civil Protection Unit (UEPC) of the state government reports in a press release that the Volcán de Fuego (Volcano of Fire) remains calm and stable, posing a low risk to the population. The University Center for Volcanological Studies (CUEV) of the University of Colima reports that from January 30 to February 5, seismometers recorded three high-frequency earthquakes and four landslides, with no explosions.

The report details that steam and gas emissions from the northeast side of the crater remain stable and with little activity, and that the distance measurements taken between GPS stations detected no changes related to volcanic activity.

The UEPC reiterates that the personnel responsible for volcanic monitoring remain attentive to any changes that may occur and urges the public to stay informed exclusively through official channels, avoiding the dissemination of unverified information.
